Tie-Dye Crayons

We love crayons around here, and we go through a lot of them, often leaving lots of little chunks of crayon that are hard to hold onto, rendering them nearly useless. That is partly my fault - I color so hard, the crayons break 😬. I love my daughter’s perspective though, “it’s ok, Mom, now we have two!”

This activity lets you recycle crayons and create something totally new. Yes, we already love crayons, but there is a certain novelty to tie-dye crayons in a brand new shape. You just need two supplies: broken, peeled crayons and silicone molds. We used what we had, paw-shaped silicone molds for dog treats, and it was so fun to reveal the final product.
