Candy Cane Process Art
Do you know what process art is? It’s an approach to art that focuses on the creative process, the experience of creating, as opposed to focusing on a perfect or defined end result. You’ll notice that most of our activities are all about the experience, and I read somewhere that process art benefits adults too. As an adult creating something with a little one, you get to be a learner too. And that can release some of the expectation that you’ll have all the answers and gives you a chance to focus on learning alongside your little creative buddy.
This candy cane activity is a really nice way to use up scrap paper, fabric and other loose materials you may have around the house, not to mention the cardboard boxes that are surely arriving daily leading up to the holidays! And you’ll end up with a festive decoration you can display through the holiday season.
