Fall Tree Q-Tip Painting

This easy activity requires very little direction and yields very surprising, varying and beautiful results from kids of all ages! With a little forethought in setup, cleanup can be super easy. The act of dotting on leaves is also very soothing and helps kids (and adults!) work on their attention and focus.

To make cleanup a breeze, lay down some paper on your workspace and use washable tempera paint. You only need the primary colors, red, yellow and blue. If your little is interested in mixing, you can help them learn some color theory by showing them how new colors are made!

Remember, as always, perfection has no place here! Let your little experiment with dots and strokes, and see what they come up with.
