Engaging, loving and intentional nanny needed for 6-month old in Fort Worth (76107)
About our family:
We are a very caring, loving, and hardworking family. We are a family of 3 (mom, dad and 6-month old girl) with one very sweet and friendly Corgi living near the Cultural District in Fort Worth. Our daughter is the center of our world!
Mom works from home full time, and dad works from home most days. We have a playful, gentle and intentional approach to raising our daughter, and enjoy taking her out for activities when we can. We try to create a loving, positive, nurturing and encouraging environment for our daughter and hope to find someone who will do the same.
Work details:
Part-time, live-out nanny (28 hours per week), open to full-time if candidate is open to household management support and meal prep
Monday- Thursday: 9am-4pm, occasional Fridays from 8am-12pm for non-childcare duties
$25/hr
Start date: ASAP
2 weeks paid time off
3 sick days
Paid major holidays
Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld (W2)
Our family lives in a different state during July and August to escape the heat. We are looking for a nanny who has the flexibility to take those two months off (unpaid), or we’re open to having a short-term nanny to support us through end of June.
Experience & Education Requirements:
First Aid / CPR certification
3+ years infant experience, either as a parent, nanny, summer / short-term nanny, babysitter, or childcare facility
Prefer some college and /or child development courses
Licensed and insured driver
Conversational English, can be first or second language
Must be okay with dogs; we have one Corgi who is loving and friendly
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day basic care of our daughter (diapering, feeding, etc.) She does not have any special needs, allergies, or major medical conditions
Maintaining a consistent nap schedule and supporting us through nap transitions.
General activity-planning to guide age-appropriate learning. We focus a lot on milestone development and hope that our nanny will support us in this aspect by researching, planning and creating opportunities for learning through intentional play
Lots of reading, play and outdoor time
Outings to the zoo, museum, library, etc.
Child’s laundry, occasionally as needed
Child’s meal prep (lunch, snack)
Tidying up of common and play areas, including living room, kitchen, nursery and play rooms
Prepping baby food is appreciated during nap time
About you:
You have experience with infants. You're nurturing, kind and loving! We like to have fun and intentionally engage our daughter and hope to find someone who can do the same. You're mindful of infant development and like to come up with age-appropriate activities. You also prioritize our child's safety. You're a good communicator, know when to ask questions, and you have good judgement. You're reliable and responsible because we run our own businesses and we also need to be reliable for our clients.
Ideally we would love for you to be with our family for a long time. We hope that our nanny will be a beloved and very important part of our family. We are so excited to meet our new nanny!
