Full-Time Nanny/Household Manager in Westlake, TX

About our family:

We are a family of 3 (dad, 14 y/o girl and 12 y/o boy) living in Westlake, TX. Mom unexpectedly passed away, and we are looking for a loving nanny and household manager who can step in and bring back a sense of normalcy to our family.

Our daughter is a typical early teenager.  She loves being around her friends.  She’s a great student and loves basketball and tennis. Our son is a sweet kid, has a small group of friends he enjoys hanging out with, he loves basketball, trading sports cards and playing video games.

Dad works outside of the home, and work requires up to 35-40% travel time. 

Work details:

  • Full time nanny, open to live-out or live-in

    • If live-in: We can offer a permanent room in an attached room with a separate entrance. The room has a bedroom, 3/4 bath, and wet bar with a small refrigerator.

  • Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 10:30am, 3pm - 7pm, overnights when dad has to travel

  • Start date, ASAP

  • $22/hr+, depending on experience

  • 2 weeks paid time off ideally to be coordinated with dad’s work schedule

  • 5 sick days

  • Paid major holidays

  • Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • First Aid / CPR certification

  • 2-3 years relevant experience with this age group

  • Prefer some college

  • Licensed and insured driver with clean driving record

  • Conversational English (can be first or second language)

Responsibilities:

  • Help the kids get ready for school in the morning

  • School drop-off and pickup

  • Household management duties, including:

    • Running errands

    • Picking up groceries 

    • Dinner prep

    • Light housekeeping

  • After school, transportation to after-school activities

  • At home, get kids going on homework and anything else that’s needed in prep for school the next day

  • Communicate with dad about day-to-day activities and needs as they arise

About you:

You are warm, loving, and experienced with teens. You are flexible and committed. You are a good communicator and can take charge as needed.

You understand that this is a challenging time for our family and are able to step up to fill some of the gaps in day-to-day tasks. You can love our children through the typical teenage challenges, and you can hold firm but loving boundaries while being a trusted and safe adult that they feel comfortable talking with.
